SWAB 2012 in Barcelona – Contemporary Art Fair

If you are interested in Contemporary art, come to Barcelona from 23th to 26^th of May to visit Contemporary Art Fair.

SWAB will be held in Barcelona at Fira Barcelona in Montjuic area. More than 70 international galleries will be participating so you won’t be disappointed!

SWAB was founded in 2006 and thanks to the support of galleries it has increased national and international reputation. The first year of its organization there were 42 participating galleries from 13 different countries and this fair has become the major contemporary art fair in Barcelona.

The aim or organizers is to present contemporary artist to the world and SWAB also offers space for exchange of views on the contemporary market.

Highlights

-          There will be 5 sections for the new edition of SWAB 2012: the General Program, Art Projects, Independent Institute of Contemporary Art, American Galleries, Chinese Art Galleries and MYFAF, the space dedicated to young galleries presented for the first time.

-          SWAB gained new cooperation with different galleries like Preview Berlin or Art Sao Paulo that allows the presence of 4 Brazilian galleries selected for the fair.

-          The fair will present the finalist of SWAB Barcelona Prize.

-          A new initiative named Talking Artists will be presented where artist will participate in series of discussion about contemporary art.
