Las Golondrinas is a fleet of tour boats that operate in the port and the coastline of Barcelona. You can choose three options of tour: The Port tour, at 35 minutes, which visits the historic port of Barcelona. You can take in the sights of the hill of Montjuic, the busy shipyards and other boats coming in and out of the port, both commercial and private. The second option is the Special tour, similar to above but lasting 1 hour and exploring more of the port. The third option is the Port and Coast tour, at 1 hour 30 minutes. As well as seeing the port area as above, you can take in the beautiful Barcelona coastline, from the old fishing village of Barceloneta to the impressive contemporary architecture of the Olympic Village.
Two types of boat are used for these tours. A smaller wooden boat for the closed water tours of the port, and larger catamarans of 20-26 metres for the coastal tours. On a calm day these tours are an excellent way to unwind after a day of sightseeing. When the weather is more windy the experience will be a more exciting one. Tickets can be bought from the stalls opposite the Columbus monument, and there are special offers for groups of over 20 people.
Running since the 1888 Universal Exhibition and a Barcelona institution, Las Golondrinas are a fun way to see a different view of Barcelona, from the sea.
Especially designed to manoeuvre in ports, the boats leave from the bottom of Las Ramblas just past the ColumbusMonument
