The newest shopping centre to open in Barcelona is in the modern district of Diagonal Mar, found at the far north end of Avenida Diagonal.The whole area was recently developed and offers quality living in smart tower blocks, accompanied by two 4* and one 5* hotel, all within easy walking distance of the sea.It also has the third largest park in Barcelona, but as a whole the area frequently comes under criticism for its lack of atmosphere and soullessness.
But back to the shopping!A three storey mall, also called Diagonal Mar, was built to provide the residents of the area with all the clothes and accessories they could possibly need; despite having every mainstream brand available housed under one roof, plus restaurants and a cinema, it is often surprisingly quiet.
