The second of Barcelona´s beaches is located by the Olympic Port and runs between the breakwater covered with restaurants and the following promontory into the sea. The water is calm and good for swimming and there are a couple of chiringuitos (beach bars) serving drinks and snacks.Behind the beach, over from the Ronda Litoral and Carrer de Salvador Espiritu roads, is a shopping mall with a large supermarket downstairs, handy for stocking up on picnic supplies.

There is also a 12 screen cinema showing films in their original language, also useful for anyone needing to have a couple of hours somewhere cold and dark away from the summer heat!The beach does get crowded but not usually unpleasantly so, and is well served by an international flock of vendors offering cold drinks, sarongs and on the spot massages.For the more activity inclined, there are volley ball nets near to the Olympic Port end and ping-pong tables at the Bogatell breakwater.
