Unlike many major cities, taking a taxi is a reasonably inexpensive option, particularly if there are lots of you travelling together. They are easy to spot as are black and yellow and are free to be hailed when the green light on the roof is lit. Normally easy to find during the day and at night time, taxi ranks can be found at stations and major streets across the city.
The minimum fare is €1.55, with a €3 surcharge for airport journeys and €0.90 for luggage.
Travel to and from the airport is approximately €20-€25.
